At the beginning of the winter term the search for an apartment can become tedious, as many students come to Kassel and Witzenhausen at the same time. Unfortunately, not all of them get a place in the student hall in time, as there are more applications than places. For this reason, prospective students are best advised to look for alternatives before arriving in Kassel.

Students from abroad who come to Kassel for the winter semester and do not yet have a room or apartment receive special support from the Studierendenwerk.

From September 11 until the end of October, the door-opening service "Be Welcome" helps with the search for a suitable place to stay, with phone calls to potential landlords and with tips on living in Kassel.

When and where? Every Monday and Wednesday, 11:30 am to 2 pm, at the information desk of the Studierendenwerk on the 3rd floor of the Campus Center, Moritzstraße 18, Holländischer Platz Campus, Kassel.

At the Speeddating in the Campus Center you may find suitable accommodation offers. No matter whether you are looking for a new home, want to find a new roommate for your flat, or are looking for other students with whom you would like to found a new flat share with. Besides the Speeddating with already existing shared flats, there will be housing offers by private house owners, and a raffle for four rooms at the student hall Moritzstraße for freshmen.
