"Freitische" are free lunches in the Mensa. They enable students who would otherwise have too little money to eat a hot meal and socialize in the Mensa. Students in financial need can apply for Freitisch lunches from the Social and Student Financial Advice Team. If the application is approved after careful consideration, a credit is added to the CampusCard.
The need for such free lunches is high: in 2024, we were able to award 135 free tables worth 15,700 euros and thus provide immediate help.
Donations for free tables are used exclusively for this purpose and are very welcome.
