Exclusions Of Liability

We are not the producer of the reusable tableware.

The producer Ornamin-Kunststoffwerke GmbH & Co. KG, Kuckuckstraße 20a-24, D-32427 Minden is liable in Germany for damage caused by defective products. The requirements of the Product Liability Act must be met for this.

Anything Else?

Our reusable deposit boxes are

  • robust and easy to clean,
  • suitable for the microwave up to 600 degrees without a lid.

What they do not tolerate, is

  •  handling with a sharp, pointed object,

  • open fire,

  • hotplates,
  • grills etc.

On return, boxes and lids will be checked for serious damage, such as burn marks or very deep scratches, and soiling. If such damage is found, we will not take the boxes back and the deposit will not be refunded.

Therefore:

  • Please clean the reusable deposit boxes thoroughly after use with warm water and mild washing-up liquid. Rinse well afterwards.
  • Ensure that hot dishes are not left at room temperature for longer than 2 hours.
  • Avoid contact with sharp objects and stack the items carefully to prevent scratches and damage.
  • Store the containers in a dry place to prevent mold growth.

Handling Your Own Boxes

Would you prefer to use your own boxes to take away your Mensa food? No problem. Simply place the clean box without the lid on a tray and pass the tray over the counter.

Our staff will then put the food in this box and hand it back to you on the tray. Background: For reasons of hygiene, our staff are not allowed to touch the container themselves.

And how does Mensa-to-Go work in Witzenhausen?

Are you having lunch in the Mensa Witzenhausen or the Cafeteria Nordbahnhofstraße? Glass boxes with lids are available there for a 5 euro deposit. You can read everything you need to know on
