A roof over the head - Searching for accommodation at the start of the winter term
If you are coming to the University of Kassel for the winter semester and have not yet found a place in a student hall, you should also look around on the private housing market. Be sure to include smaller towns and communities in the surrounding area: as soon as you start studying at the University of Kassel, you will have the so called semester ticket and will not have to buy any extra tickets.
- Alternatives to the private housing market can be found on our online housing exchange, where private landlords publish their room and apartment offers.

Be Welcome - Door Opener for Internationals
The Studentenwerk and the International Office offer an additional service to support students coming to Kassel for the winter semester from abroad who do not yet have a place to live.
From mid-September to mid-November, the "Be Welcome" door opener service will help you find a suitable place to live, make phone calls to potential landlords, and give you tips on living in Kassel.
Where and when? At the information desk of the Studierendenwerk on the ground floor of the Campus Center, Moritzstraße 18, Campus Holländischer Platz, Kassel: Mondays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Thursdays, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
